Nucleus 7 Processor
The Nucleus 7 Sound Processor is our smallest and lightest1 behind-the-ear hearing solution that combines comfort with our most advanced sound processing technologies including:
- SmartSound® iQ* with SCAN, which is designed to mimic natural hearing by automatically adjusting to your environment without the need for manual adjustments to the sound processor
- Dual microphones to help filter out background noise for optimal hearing performance and speech understanding
- 2.4 GHz True Wireless™ technology, so you can simply stream sound directly from your wireless accessories to your sound processor without the need for a neck-loop
The Nucleus 7 Sound Processor is also the first cochlear implant sound processor that you can control with a compatible smartphone. Sound, music, videos and more can be streamed directly into your sound processor using exclusive Made for iPhone connectivity, which is an industry first.²
If your use an Android™ device or any other smartphone, you can stream phone calls, music and more directly to the Nucleus 7 Sound Processor by using the True Wireless™ Phone Clip.
In addition, the Nucleus Smart App provides you with a convenient and easy way to tailor your hearing to your personal preferences – all from your compatible Apple® or Android™ device.
Nucleus 7 Hybrid Processor
Cochlear Hybrid Hearing* is a combination of two proven technologies. The first technology is acoustic amplification. An acoustic component can be attached to the end of the Nucleus 7 Sound Processor to amplify the low- frequency natural hearing you may have after Cochlear Implant surgery. At the same time, our innovative Cochlear Implant technology provides access to the high-frequency sounds you’re missing for a richer hearing experience. Hybrid Hearing is compatible with our wide Nucleus electrode portfolio.
For those with high-frequency hearing loss, the Cochlear Nucleus Hybrid Implant System features the first FDA-approved cochlear implant with a special electrode** that’s designed to preserve your low-frequency hearing.
Nucleus Kanso Processor
The Kanso® Sound Processor is our off-the-ear hearing solution designed to be so discreet and comfortable you may even forget you’re wearing it. A range of eight color options are available so you can choose the color that best matches your hair for the perfect blend.
The Kanso Sound Processor is the only off-the-ear cochlear implant sound processor with two microphones and provides the same hearing experience as a behind-the-ear sound processor to help provide your best hearing, even in noisy environments.1-4 In addition, the Kanso Sound Processor includes unique features like SmartSound® iQ* with SCAN technologies and our True Wireless™ connectivity
