Our Hearing Aid 19-Point Inspection & Tune-up Service

Your 30-minute appointment includes:

  1. Individual session with a hearing care specialist
  2. Listening check of hearing aid to assess clarity of sound and proper amplification
  3. Visual inspection of device
  4. Otoscopic inspection of ears
  5. Shell or earmold disinfection
  6. Ultrasonic cleaning of domes, earmolds and tubing
  7. Battery contact cleaning
  8. Hearing aid dehumidification
  9. Microphone debris suction
  10. Replacement of microphone covers or filters
  11. Receiver debris suction
  12. Vent cleaning
  13. Wax guard replacement
  14. Dome replacement (RIC hearing aids only)
  15. Earmold tubing change (BTE and thin tube hearing aids only)
  16. Ear hook replacement (BTE hearing aids only)
  17. ANSI (American National Standards Institute) electroacoustic analysis on computer of hearing aid performance to ensure it meets manufacturer’s specifications (Note: this measurement was standardized on analog hearing aids. Hearing Partners is at the forefront of analyzing digital hearing aid technology with the latest verification software, computers and protocols.)
  18. Electroacoustic analysis of directional microphone performance
  19. Electroacoustic analysis of battery drain (when appropriate)
